     Many classmates had asked me:  If Colombia is Safe? And like we Colombians say “The only risk is to want to stay”.  Have a look:

    Colombia is located northwest of South America, is the fourth largest country in the region, bordered on the north waters of Honduras, Jamaica and Haiti, on the east by Venezuela and Brazil, south to Peru and Ecuador, to the west waters of Costa Rica and Panama, and northwestern Panama.

     Colombian territory is crossed from north to south through the great mountains of the Andes which is divided into three channels: Western, Central and Eastern . Almost 50% of the national area is covered by large rainforests.

     Colombia has one of the largest water reserves in the world, with countless species of animals and vegetables, mineral resources like coal, oil and emeralds.The orchid is the national flower of Colombia, where you can find thousands of different varieties of this beautiful flower.

     Colombia is a major producer of coffee worldwide; you can buy a cup of Colombian coffee in cities as diverse as London, Buenos Aires, Paris, Tokyo, Berlin and of course  Calgary .

     Has a variety of climates, allowing you to see in one country rainforests, deserts, snow-capped ountains and beautiful beaches.

Blog # 2 Paquete Chileno (Chilean Package)

                                                      PAQUETE CHILENO

     In Latin America there is a form of deceptions for people looking to make easy money called “Paquete Chileno” (Chilean Package).  The “Paquete Chileno” is a kind of scam, it consist on dropping a roll of papers which is covered with a bill of the highest denominations. When the victim gests close to pick up one of the con man pretends to the same and convince the victim give him a valuable object instead of splitting the “money”

     When the victim checks out de roll, he or she realizes that only the exterior was actually a real bill and the rest was only paper.

     Any person who see such  a package on the ground, should get suspicious of it before thinking about pinking it up however there is always people who is impressed an fall in the scam.

     I wouldn’t fall for it because I believe that this kind of scam only works with people who like to obtain money in an easy money.
